I bought this shirt at walmart years ago, fits great, my favorite t-shirt. i still have it actually with holes in the arm pits and all over it. fits perfect, so i wanted to replace it with the exact same hanes beefy t in the same size thinking it would fit the same. Wrong, the new shirt i ordered was tiny and when i washed it it got even tinier. next time ill just go to walmart its cheaper anyways.

Hanes used to make high quality extra thick t-shirts back in the day, but these ain't them. These are no thicker than a regular undershirt, have a low thread count and low quality cotton - supposedly 100%, but they feel like a poly blend and are shiny in direct light. The stitching looks like it will give at even modest stress levels.
I have a Hanes t-shirt from years and years ago that's been through many washings and other abuse and it's *still* thicker and more durable than these new ones made in Haiti (that should clue you into the level of quality).
The colors are bright and varied, but I haven't washed the new ones I bought yet, so I can't vouch for how well the color holds in the wash. The tagless design is definitely better as is the lack of any other visible logo like some brands have. The pocket designs holds true, but the pocket is mostly for show (very flimsy) not that I'd use it for much more anyway.
The price is right, but I'd rather pay twice that and have a quality product that won't disintegrate after a year of washings.
The sad thing is that Hanes knows how to make a quality t-shirt, but just doesn't give a **** about it's customers enough to do so.

Long time wearer of Beefy-T's. The last set I bought were at least 2 inches shorter for the same size (XXL)... C'mon Hanes...
